Cheylesmore Community Library is the city’s first entirely community-led and volunteer-run library. Coventry City Council came to an agreement with Cheylesmore Community Association that they would take on responsibility for the library from September 2017, with layout and accessibility changes.
Located in Cheylesmore Community Centre, the library has an internal entrance and a Poitiers Road external entrance.
Books and IT facilities are provided by the Council and the library is linked to the Council’s online library catalogue. We have thousands of books and offer a range of activities for children and adults. Do come in and say hello to our resident teddy bear – Charles More.
This has been an exciting venture for Cheylesmore Community Association. We aim to provide a library service that meets the needs of our community. We welcome your ideas and feedback on what you would like from the library.
