Since taking on the lease of the Community Centre from the City Council last year, Cheylesmore Community Association Ltd has embarked on a programme of improvements. Refurbishment of the Main Hall was well underway this September, and further work is scheduled for October half term. Work includes renewing the roof, electrics and lighting. This has been made possible by grants from various organisations, notably Biffa Award. The refurbished hall will be much more energy efficient and well insulated, making it much more comfortable in cold weather.
