Appeal for help after 92-year-old woman robbed in her Coventry home Coventry Police are appealing for help from the public after an elderly woman disturbed two burglars in her home in the Stoke area of the city. The 92-year-old lady was grabbed by the two men who took two gold necklaces and they attempted to remove bangles from her wrist. The two men fled from the house with the jewellery, plus watches and cash, using a pink towel from the house to hide their faces. It is believed they entered the house in Peel Street through a front window in the early hours on Friday 24 May. Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured during the attack but she has understandably been very shaken by what happened. We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the men either entering or fleeing the property, or who may have recently been offered similar jewellery or watches for sale, to contact police.
